Arranging your church wedding

Getting married is one of the most exciting things you can do. If that is you, congratulations!

Once we have received your enquiry, you will be invited to come and meet Revd Margaret who will talk about all the things you need to think about for your service and listen to what you would like to happen to make it special.

We would love to make your wedding day as special and personal as possible.

Nearer the time of your wedding, you will meet with Revd Margaret to prepare you for the service and finalise the arrangements. You will also have a rehearsal around one to two weeks before your wedding day.

Please contact Revd Margaret or complete the online enquiry form below if you would like to discuss the possibility of having your wedding at one of the churches in Felthorpe, Hevingham or Horsford.  Thank you

Arranging a Christening or Baptism - the words mean the same

We welcome all who wish to be baptised – or christened – the words mean the same.

Baptisms take place either in one of the main Sunday services or, if you would prefer a more personal service, a service any other day, including Sunday afternoon. It is a celebration for family and friends as we welcome the person being baptised into God’s family.

If it is a child being baptised, I will come and meet you in your home to talk about the service, God Parents and the special meaning baptism has in the Christian community. It is a chance to find out more and ask your questions about this special service.

The service is free. If you have the more personal service and would like hymns, there is a fee for the organist.

It is not just babies and children who are baptised, adults are too! It is a joy when someone older wishes to make this commitment for themselves. This is likely to take place in the main Sunday service in one of our churches. Again I will come and meet you in your home to chat about what you are doing and the service.

"Baptism marks the beginning of a journey with God which continues for the rest of our lives, the first step in response to God’s love".

If you would like to be baptised, or have a child you would like to be baptised, please contact Revd Margaret (details below)

Losing a loved one - arranging a Funeral Service

Losing a loved one is one of the most painful times of your life. We’re here to help you and support you during this time.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Matthew 5.4

Usually you would have contacted the Funeral Director first to arrange the funeral and they will usually contact us before we contact you.  If you are arranging a funeral, either at one of the churches or the crematorium, please do feel able to contact us.

One of the ministry team will meet you to listen to you, to discuss with you what you would like to happen at the funeral service as you give thanks for your loved one.

We will talk through the service, asking you what hymns you might like, a passage from the Bible and perhaps another reading and music you’d like us to include.

If you would like to discuss, please do contact Revd Margaret or complete the online enquiry form below.  Thank you.
